(The women’s 1/2/3 race strung out really early on Saturday! Susan Hackett photo cred)
(Sunday was all about pack racing! Thanks Julie Lewis-Sroka for this shot)
Thanks to everyone that came out this weekend! Paradise Garage racing did a stellar job setting up two very challenging courses! Saturday was a bit more technical with a steep, rooted ride up/run up with some nice off camber sweeping sections. Despite the technicality of the course, it was smokin’ fast! Sunday featured the grueling climb up to the “Mirror Lake Overlook”, but was fast even with the elevation. Word on the street is the top half Men’s 1/2/3 field averaged around 17mph on that course! Nuts!
We’re glad to see so many people out there, even some kind folks from Cleveland and Cincinnati made the trip to race! Cyclocross is real in Ohio and all the racers from around the state are proving that to be true! We love to see you all out there!

Looking Ahead – Cap City Cross has an off this weekend, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any cyclocross going on in Ohio. Quite the opposite actually. Friday starts the annual Cincy3 Cyclocross Festival! It’s an Elite UCI weekend with amateur races every day! It’s one of the biggest, if not the biggest, cyclocross event in the midwest! Cincy3 is definitely worth checking out!
Cap City Cross returns on November 10 at Smith Farms with Team Jeni’s setting up at another classic Cap City venue!
See ya soon!
